How To Install Nova Kodi Build

This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough on installing the Nova Kodi build. Please note: Using unofficial builds like Nova carries risks, including potential exposure to malware or copyrighted content. Proceed at your own risk. Always ensure you have a reliable antivirus program running and are aware of the legal implications of streaming copyrighted material.

Before You Begin

Before installing any Kodi build, including Nova, it’s crucial to back up your current Kodi profile. This safeguards your settings, addons, and other data in case anything goes wrong during the installation process. You can usually find backup options within Kodi's settings menu.

Also, ensure your Kodi installation is up-to-date. Check for updates within the Kodi application itself.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

This guide assumes you have already installed Kodi on your device. If not, download and install it from the official Kodi website. We will be using a third-party repository, so enabling the installation of unknown sources is necessary.

1. Enabling Unknown Sources

Navigate to Settings (the gear icon) > System > Add-ons. Toggle the option for Unknown sources to ON. You will likely receive a warning message; acknowledge this by selecting Yes.

2. Adding the Repository

  • Go to Settings > File manager.
  • Select Add source.
  • Click on <None>.
  • Enter the following URL exactly as shown: http://repo.kodil.co/ (Note: Always verify the URL's authenticity from a reliable source before entering it).
  • Enter a name for the source (e.g., "Kodil Repo"). Click OK.

3. Installing the Repository

  • Navigate back to the Kodi home screen.
  • Select Add-ons.
  • Click the package installer icon (the open box in the top left corner).
  • Select Install from zip file.
  • Choose the source you named earlier (e.g., "Kodil Repo").
  • Locate and select repository.kodil-x.x.x.zip (the version number 'x.x.x' will vary). Wait for the notification indicating successful installation.
  • Next, select Install from repository.
  • Choose the Kodil Repository from the list.
  • Select Video add-ons.
  • Find and select the Nova build.
  • Click Install. Again, wait for the notification of successful installation.

4. Launching Nova

Once the installation completes, you can find the Nova build in your Kodi home screen. Launching it will typically take a few minutes while it downloads necessary components.
